Your route will sail close to Thirasia Island, Aspronissi, and Akrotiri. After about 30 minutes, your first stop will be at the Red Beach, where you'll get to swim and snorkel under the sun.

Afterward, continue to the next stop at White Beach, where there will be more time for fun in the water. Then enjoy an onboard barbecue with sizzling pork chops, chicken, Greek salad, bread, tzatziki, eggplant salad, and fruit. Then sail inside the caldera, close to a volcano.

Finally, stop off at nearby hot springs for swimming and a relaxing mud bath. What a day!

Maldives is the picture of paradise, this is how can I describe this destination.

Maldives has so many places to visit and enjoy it, in this part we will discover more about culture and history of these islands. First let's get some classic information as always.

A little of a general culture :)

The Maldives consists of 1,192 coral islands grouped in a double chain of 26 atolls, by consider it the lowest country in the world (yes, it's in the record books) with an average altitude of only about 5 feet above sea level.

The official language is Maldivian but almost all of them speak also English because they were protected by UK in 1887 and also they drive on left.

The ancient history of the Maldives is little known. According to Maldivian legend, an Indian prince called Koimala (en) ran aground with his young wife in a Maldives lagoon and settled there, becoming the first sultan. It is also said that women from Sri Lanka settled there, hence the name Mahiladipa meaning women's islands, which gave the name "Maldives".

What's special about the Maldives?

Tsunami Monument

The Tsunami Monument is located on the south eastern part of Male city, on the Boduthakurufaanu Magu. This Tsunami Monument was dedicated for those who lost their lives in the boxing day 2004 Tsunami, originated from Aceh, Indonesia. The sea surrounding of this monument is one of best spot for surfing within Male. The monument is famous not only for its history but also for its uniqueness architecture. The design of the memorial represents different aspects of the 2004 Tsunami in the Maldives which made a lot of Maldivian died; many houses, buildings and businesses were destroyed in that year.

Masjid Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani

This mosque is a dome with many trees around it. You cannot find a good angle to snap a photo. It is located near a playground and in front of an International School. It is beautiful inside and it is not hot.

Secret Paradise is headquartered on the manmade island of Hulhumalé, which is an extension of Malé proper that sits just north of the airport.

Secret Paradise puts an emphasis on experiencing local Maldivian culture and tradition. Travelers can visit Hurra Island to learn about how locals live a simpler life. While there, visitors can check out the freshwater lake and mangrove swamps.

On the way back, they can lie on the ferry roof and soak in the starry night sky. Guests may also enjoy a full day of island hopping, a walking tour on the smaller island of Villimale, or a dinner experience with locals in their home.

Malé Friday Mosque

One of the most popular tourist attractions as it is one of the few places preserved from the mid 1600's Built by Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar I in 1658 on top of an older mosque. Built using coral boulders which hardens when dry. It looks grey and very too old. Unlike other mosque, the carpet is slanted to face the direction of Kaabah.

National Museum

With the purpose of preserving history and instilling patriotism among the people of the Maldives, the museum has a large collection of historical artifacts, ranging from stone objects to fragments of royal antiquities from the Buddhist era to the rule of Islamic monarchs.

In better location the national museum surrounding by trees behind that biggest garden in the evening feel quite happy to visit there. The collection is a diverse collection of artifacts, coins, royal antiques, costumes, police armor, stamps (very interesting), and some more modern items.

Sultan Park

The park is actually part of the palace of the Sultan, a hundred years of history. Trees and flowers everywhere, relatively intact cultural essence Gu Sudan, seemingly simple history museum describes a variety of cultures.

Maldivians don't eat raw fish, however (but that doesn't mean you won't ever find sushi in resort restaurants).

Their starches are typically rice, taro (the root ingredient of Hawaii's poi), sweet potato, and cassava.

You'll find a strong Indian influence not surprising, given the proximity and a plethora of different curries. As a tourist in the resorts, expect to find Indian and Maldivian options, but also food styles from around the world.

So, let's get a brief for Santorini

Santorini or in Greek ( Σαντορίνη ) , pronounced ([sandoˈrini]), is an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 mi) southeast of Greece's mainland. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago. It forms the southernmost member of the Cyclades group of islands.

With an area of approximately 73 km² and around 2011 census population of 15,550. The capital of Santorini is Fira and he currency of Santorini is the Euro and is used across all of the Greek islands.
Also there's Thirasia, a village on the nearby island with the same name visited by fewer tourists.

Now I've a brief of Santorini but what Is the specialization of this island ?

Every island have here specialty but In Santorini we found lot of a good stuff . Santorini is the right island to honeymoon and if you are married also you have a chance to enjoy the dramatic views . Santorini also famous for stunning sunsets specially from Ia , Oia spelling in Greek (The full flavour and spirit of the town and the island can be enjoyed only after staying for several days.) Also The island has All house in white because they say the white make coldness in the sunny days.

July is the hottest month in Santorini with an average temperature of 26°C (79°F) and the coldest is January at 12°C (54°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 14 in July. The wettest month is December with an average of 74.5mm of rain. The best month to swim in the sea is in August when the average sea temperature is 25°C (77°F).

Visas

Santorini is an Greece Island so she has the same visa requirement and condition of Greece. Greece Is one of European country so if you have a schengen visa you can go to the Santorini without any condition (except your PASSPORT validity should have more than Six months of remaining validity ) If you're country are not a part from European country you should go to the embassy of Greece in your country.

Transports

Santorini’s buses (KTEL)

There is only one mode of public transportation in Santorini, the local bus system , the bus go to all villages of the island all the buses go to the main bus station at Fira . The tickets are issued from inside the bus, and the cost can vary from 2USD to 3USD per person per route.

Taxi

Taxis will take you to most places on the island. If you are at Fira town, there is a taxi stand at the main square. If you are note, with just a phone call you can be picked up from any point. The taxi station phone number is +302286022555. The costs vary depending on the distances, from 4.50USD up to 29USD.

Car and motorbike

One of the most flexible ways to move around is by car. There are many car rental companies which will rent out a car on daily basis, manual or automatic. The cost for a car depending on the season can start from 29USD per day for low season and around 40USD in high season.
As flexible as a car, are the motorcycles and squats. Again, many companies rent both for a day, with
a bit lower prices than renting a car. Be careful with those, there are a lot of turns and bumpy roads!

Cable car

The special transport in Santorini is cable car, The cable car travels from Fira harbour up to Fira town and vice versa. The price of cable car is between 3.50USD and 7USD.

On foot

Of course the best way to walk is on foot, you may have the chance to walk to many destinations! There are trails to follow where cars are not allowed, and the views will definitely reward you for the distance covered!
